Do you require a contract?
Yes! I will send you the contract to sign once dates and times are finalized and the deposit is received. Full payment is due the day of the session.
What packages do you offer?
You can view my collections here. I have 3 lifestyle collections, an elopement package and two Military Moments collections.
Are you available for travel?
Yes! I have local travel fees detailed in my contract (when applicable). Additional travel expenses will be customized to each client’s needs. I am open to travel absolutely anywhere so use your imagination and lets go on an adventure!
Are deposits refundable?
If you cancel the session at least 7 days ahead of time I refund the $50 deposit. After that you lose it.
Can I reschedule?
Yes. Within reason. I understand things come up, we’ve all been there for one reason or another and even I’ve had to reschedule sessions before too. If you need to reschedule for personal reasons we can discuss and go from there.
How do I pick a location?
We can literally go anywhere you want, the sky’s the limit. If you don’t have any ideas, I’m happy to pick a spot!
Nature is what fits my style best. Trees, fields, water, etc.
If grand adventure is your jam, I’m your gal. Hiking to the top of a mountain, paddling to a secluded island, and anything in between. Adventure style shoots are my bread and butter and never ever be afraid to think out of the box and pitch exciting ideas to me. There aren’t many places I won’t go to make your dream session come true!
What if the weather is bad?
You’d be surprised at how beautiful photos can turn out in “bad” weather.
There’s not much weather I won’t shoot in. I don’t do lightning and cameras can’t do torrential rain. For those, we’ll work around or reschedule.
For everything else I will most likely try to convince you to keep your session as scheduled.
Are pets invited?
YES! Enough said.
How will my photos be delivered?
I send photos via an online gallery that you will be able to download from. They usually take 3 to 6 weeks.
I almost always send a small sneak peak within 24 hours.
Will you send me RAW images?
No. The answer will always be no, so please don’t even ask.
Will I own the photos you deliver to me?
Technically no. This is an intimidating answer for some people to read, but don’t panic! Once you get the photos, you’ll be able to print, post, share, etc. But technically I own the copyright to all of the photos.
What that means is I can use them for social media, my website, marketing, etc. It also means you can’t change them, slap a filter on them or alter them in any way.
You’re not required to credit me for photos I take when you post them online, but it is always greatly appreciated if you do!
Do you backup photos after delivery?
While I try to keep all my final galleries for as long as possible, I’m not responsible for permanent backup once I send them to you.
What’s the best time of day for a photo shoot?
Right after sunrise or right before sunset. This is by far the best light. Harsh midday light is rarely flattering. I will strongly encourage you to choose a morning or evening time slot, but I can in fact make any time of day work.
Do you retouch your photos?
I do! But I don’t go overboard. Things like smoothing skin, brightening eyes, removing blemishes and occasionally whitening teeth. You will still look like your fabulous self when you get your photos back, I promise!
I also remove unsightly objects from the background when I’m able.
Can I wear glasses?
Yes! There will always be some glare, but I do my best to minimize it. Transition lenses aren’t reccommended but I can technically work with those too.
I usually suggest removing sunglasses, but if that’s your jam then by all means.
Do you do themed shoots?
Rarely.
I do “occasion” shoots like proposals, engagements, anniversaries, weddings, maternity and so on. But if there are props involved like smash cakes, piñatas and balloons, etc., I may not be your photographer. If there’s something you absolutely want to incorporate then please don’t hesitate to ask!
What if I don’t like the photos you send me?
Unfortunately you’re out of luck. Once the gallery is delivered, the photos are done. I don’t redo edits or colors or offer refunds.
This is why it’s so important to choose the right photographer for your needs and taste. And if that’s not me, IT’S OKAY! This field is saturated with talent and different styles. You should look into each photographer carefully and pick who you think will meet your needs most. If I’m not that person, I know other photographers I will happily recommend!
